Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Coder II for
Ophthalmology.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and sequence ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes from patient
medical records for submission
Review and submit encounters related to evaluation & management and
procedures, maintaining productivity standards
Participate in client and staff meetings, trainings, and maintain
current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
Required Qualifications:
Active AHIMA or AAPC credential
Three years of relevant coding experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS
code sets
Ability to consistently code at a 95% quality and accuracy
threshold
Proficient in MS Office and electronic medical records
